Reno, Nevada – September 15, 2023- The 6th annual Legion Sports Fest returns to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center on October 7th and 8th 2023.  This fitness weekend features 12 sports, 2750+ athletes, seminars, celebrities, parties, DJs, and over 200 vendors.  A headlining sport of Legion Sports Fest is the IFBB Pro Bodybuilding with eight divisions: Men’s Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Men’s Bodybuilding, Women’s Bikini, Women’s Wellness, Women’s Physique, Fitness, and Figure. These IFBB Pro League athletes will compete for $83,500 in cash, and a last-minute qualification to the Olympia.
What’s all the hype around the IFBB Pro Open competitions?
Over 90 IFBB Pro athletes from 15 different countries have submitted their contracts to compete.  This number is far ahead compared to last year’s Legion Sports Fest IFBB Pro League event on October 7th-9th. “I guess we did something right last year.”, laughed Chris Minnes, producer of the Legion Sports Fest. “But seriously, we’re stoked to receive this kind of support. Our goal is to give back to the athletes and when we grow, we can give back more. I think given that we are athletes ourselves, we’re all pretty in sync.”
Some confirmed IFBB Pro League athletes include:
Men’s Physique: Current Mr.Olympia Erin Banks, 18x IFBB Pro Champ Andre Ferguson
Men’s Classic Physique: 2x Arnold Champ Ruff Diesel, “Texas Oak” Logan Franklin
Men’s Open Bodybuilding: 3x 212 Champ John Jewett, “The Nightmare” Justin Rodriguez

Many athletes are coming for their last chance to qualify for the Mr. Olympia on Nov 2nd-5th in Orlando, Florida, and to get last-minute Olympia judge feedback from Terick El Gundy and Steve Devore.
A real-life superhero is someone who is in full pursuit of their own maximum potential.  They also help lift others by sharing knowledge, providing motivation, and showing people how to ignite their own superpowers.  “This is what Legion Sports Fest is all about,” said Chris Minnes, founder/owner of Legion Sports Fest and Center Podium Productions.
