And…. speaking of the New Year…. the bodybuilding industry gets right back in action come the first weekend of January! TheFitExpo™ Los Angeles Returns January 7-8 with
Powerhouses of Bodybuilding, Physique, Figure, & Bikini
(Los Angeles, Calif… December 20, 2016) The new year will bring together some of the top physique champions, contenders and enthusiasts at the West Coast’s largest fitness event, the Bodybuilding.com TheFitExpo™ Los Angeles presented by Subway Restaurants, January 7-8, 2017 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 South Figueroa Street, South Halls G, H, J and K.
On Saturday, January 7, The 2017 NPC Muscle Contest Challenge, presented by Rule 1 Proteins and produced by Lindsay Productions, will feature Bodybuilding, Physique, Figure & Bikini Classic Championships. This NPC sanctioned national qualifier offers a variety of competition classes from men, women, open and novice to masters and teens. Attendees can meet and get autographs from: 4 X Mr. Olympia Champion, Jay Cutler; Bodybuilder, author, actor, philanthropist and motivator, Kali Muscle; IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Charles “Tank” Dixon; father/daughter fitness team Shanna & Lou Ferrigno; MMA celebrity fighter and UFC Hall of Fame athlete, Tito Ortiz; 6X World Champion Powerlifter, CT Fletcher; bodybuilder/actor Roland Kickinger; the most photographed fitness personality and former Miss Fitness, Sherry Goggin, and many more to be announced.
Learn from the best as 3X and Current Mr. Olympia Physique Jeremy Buendia and top bodybuilding trainer/coach with 16 Olympia titles, Hany Rambod, appear together for an information-packed seminar on Saturday, January 7 at 2:00 p.m. on the Competition Stage.
On Sunday January 8, two special events are not to be missed. At 1:00 p.m. on the Bodybuilding Stage will be the Return of Champions seminar, hosted by Hall of Fame bodybuilder Shawn Ray. This special Q & A panel will include powerhouse greats: Dennis Newman (Former Mr. USA), Gunter Schlierkamp (IFBB Pro Bodybuilder), Samir Bannout (former Mr. Olympia), Chris Cormier (4X Pro Ironman winner) and Flex Wheeler (Former Mr. USA). Following at 2:00 p.m. on the Main Stage will be the National Physique Committee’s NPC Seminar, where competitors of all classes can learn about judging criteria and pick up some invaluable competition tips.
Expo attendees will cheer on competitors participating in returning contests including: Odd Haugen Strength Classic, The USPA American Cup Pro Powerlifting Invitational presented by Iron Rebel, The Ironmind Viking Visegrip World’s Record Challenge, California Armwrestling Championship, Slackline Competition and Bodybuilding.com’s BodySpace™ Spokesmodel Search. Attendees get the chance to win prize money and bragging rights as TheFitExpo’s Best Attendee and GAT Sport’s MAXREPS Attendee Competitions are back, with cash and prizes to the winners.
TheFitExpo offers something for everyBODY! Attendees will find over 100 fitness and sports celebrities as well as 20 amateur, professional and attendee competitions and over 700 exhibits offering the latest in fitness, diet, nutrition, strength and wellness products and services. During both days of the Expo, many leading fitness professionals will be presenting educational seminars and demonstrations on subjects such as proper nutrition and dieting and exercise philosophies.
Adult admission tickets are $30 per day or $45 for the entire weekend. Children 12 years and under are $10 per day and children under 6 are free.
